I'm quite satisfied with this bulb! Works just as advertised and quite bright and colorful given the low price.
Pros-
Its quite bright and colorful while the housing does a fairly good job at dispersing the colors evenly. (There is some chromatic distortions in shadows obviously simply due to the spacing of the LEDs, but its not too bad) It supports a good range of features like brightness, on/off via remote with a memory of it's setting (even when powered off from it's source!). A large plus as well is this bulb indeed supports custom colors with adjustable RGB amounts, a feature that doesn't seem common in much of the other variations of these kind. The actual construction of the bulb itself feels solid and sturdy with metal fins along its side and a thick plastic top.
Cons-
The transformer in the base of the bulb does make a high frequency noise the dimmer you set the light, including when its powered off by the remote. (Wouldn't recommend using it anywhere directly near you like a desklamp.) The remote itself for the bulb leaves somewhat to be desired in design too. The controls are fairly unintuitive beyond preset colors and on/off. However, its far from a deal-killer as its not too difficult to grow accustomed to it.
Overall, given the low price this is quite a good deal! Its been left on and played with for the past few months now with no problem. As I said my only real complaint is simply it would be nice to have a better remote for it, but functionally wise I can't complain at all! (Still, it would be nice to adjust the RGB values with up/down rockers directly.) I would definitely recommend this for anyone wanting a inexpensive color LED bulb.

Also, in regard to setting a custom color (and since no one actually explained when I was trying to find a adjustable one) you wouldn't immediately be able to see how to do it just from the picture. To change individual RGB values of a color, you press the "RGB" button to toggle between brightness (bulb turns off for a second) to colors (bulb turns a solid red, green, or blue for a second). You can then select the RGB channel to adjust with one of the three 'R', 'G', and 'B' buttons and adjust the value of that channel with the brighter/dimmer "sun" buttons above it.

Overall I like these bulbs. They are bright and colorful. I purchased four to go in two helical shaped paper lanterns on either side of my entertainment center. From my "spot " on my couch (about 15 feet away) I can control each bulb, and combinations thereof, with the same remote simply by changing the angle a bit.
PROS:
Bright, colorful, well designed and manufactured, can be controlled with a single remote, adequate range, memory function restart the bulls in the same saying as before they were turned off.
CONS:
Produce more heat than other bulbs available, a bit on the pricey side (as with all LED bulbs IMO).
The only reason I did not rate five stars is the brightness issue. These bulbs are advertised as having 120 brightness levels. Great! But it might be overkill because you have to change the brightness 20 levels to see a noticeable difference. So why not 6 levels?
There's my spiel. Great bulbs. Cheapest 9W LED RGBs available on Amazon.

The good:* Colors are well-saturated and pure. The blue is *really* blue, almost to the point of being near-UV.
* The remote works well. It's got enough range to adjust lights from across the room. Yet it's not SO sensitive/strong as to prevent you from controlling individual lights if you have more than one in the same room.
* Great form factor. These are shaped and sized like incandescent lights, not ginormous CFLs.
* They reach full brightness immediately, unlike CFLs.
* The remote lets you select several different colors directly.
* The color-mixing function lets you select a range of colors that, for all intents and purposes, is infinite. This is a feature most other multicolor LEDs cannot boast, especially at this price point. Although...
The not-so-good:
* The color mixing function is a little awkward. You'll get the hang of it, but you'll wish the interface was a little better developed. I'd have gladly paid an extra $2 or so for a remote with buttons dedicated to turning up/down each color independently, rather than having to go to "RGB function."
* LED lighting remains an auxiliary, not a primary, light source. These bulbs are not bright enough to be the primary lighting in a room (unless cost is no object and you're willing to build/buy a six-bulb fixture to house several bulbs). As accent and mood lighting, they're good. If you need high lux...not so good.
The bad:
* Nothing, really. These are nifty little lights.
