REVIEW UPDATED I initially orderd this product in July and was disappointed to discover I received a defective unit. HDE contacted me after posting an unfavorable review and asked how they could help. They shipped me a replacement product free of charge that works great and it looks cool. I'm sure my neighbors think I'm nuts when they walk by and see this glowing in the bathroom window (Bonus!) and it's not only functional but random and cool. Would def. order from HDE again.

As a novelty item this is great, kids love it. Also great as an inexpensive gift.

Uses 3 "AAA" batteries which is not included. Requires a mini screwdriver to remove battery compartment cover.

As a night light, the color changing aspect is annoying. Just get it with the constant white light. Milk is white anyway.

Besides myself, my mom and brother love this! They always crack jokes with it by pretending to "drink" the milk. Its super bright so I always put it on the ground underneath my computer desk so only some of the rays of light get through. Since its battery powered saves me another outlet for one of my other gadjets. Its also portable so when I need to get down stairs to get some water at night I bring it with me to light the way.

I purchased a solid white milk glass and a color changing milk glass. The solid white turns on and off; however, the color changing milk glass stays on unless it's turned upside down (maybe mines just defective, don't know). I'm using this item in my coffee themed kitchen as both a decoration and nightlight. Everyone that has seen it loves it. If I had to choose...I'd say skip the color changer and buy the solid white milk glass. Afterall, how realistic is blue and green milk? My neice is using hers as a bedside nightlight. Awesome novelty item!

I got this in today. I opened the box and found the light, but no instructions. It took me a while to figure out that the flickering it did when I put the batteries in was because of a built-in cutout switch that turns the unit off when you turn it upside down. There's a toggle switch on the bottom, unlabeled, that the description identifies as an on/off switch. That is false. That switch switches between changing colors and solid white.

The colors are very good, but the solid white is a bit too blue.

You need a small-tip phillips screwdriver to remove the bottom cover to install the 3 AAA batteries. It works well, but the parts inside cast shadows that make the light look kinda weird.

If this unit doesn't last as long as I think it should, I will update this evaluation to reflect that. Otherwise, this is pretty nice. I'm giving it a four, because it came without instructions and the description is wrong about the switch on the bottom.
