I bought my latest Intsun Ultafire as a gift for my wife. She was going to a week long quilting camp, and among the list of things to bring was a flashlight. The "camp" was at a secluded retreat location by Lake Tahoe which was not really well lit at night. When walking back to her room for the night it was quite dark, and she used her new Ultrafire. She would walk with other ladies, and when they saw how bright her Ultrafire was they were blown away. They all had their on flashlights with them, but compared to her's theirs were pretty pathetic. Everyone who saw how bright my wife's ultrafire was had flashlight envy. They all wanted to know where she got it, and asked if she could let them know how to order one for themselves. My wife texted me saying she was the "Queen of the flashlights". This time I bought two Ultrafires I have ordered a total of 5, keeping two for myself, and three as gifts for my wife, son in law, and grandson. Great product, great price, you can't go wrong.

This little flashlight is a great torch for the price. After reading other reviews, I have to think that consistency might be an issue. It's made in China, so quality controls are probably poor. If you get a lemon, at least you didn't spend a fortune. I agree with other reviews that the square pattern on zoom is a bit annoying, but again, you spent less than 20 bucks for a really bright light. I also agree with others that the mode switching setup is awful. It should turn back on in the same mode as when last used.... but it doesn't. You get what you pay for.

This is one impressive light. The first time I used it was the night that I had recieved it and Oh my God The light lite the whole room up. And when I took it outside the house, I could see the neighbors tree well lit four to five houses over. I would highly recommend purchasing this light.

These work well, seem to be made well, can use three different kinds of batteries, are very bright, and have an adjustable beam feature. My only issues relate to having to get used to a square beam in the tightest focus setting (really no big deal); and the mode switching. If one is not careful turing the light off and on it will change modes and usually the mode that it has switched to is not appropriate for the setting.

I don't like giving low ratings. I also don't like advertising that doesn't live up, or low quality in the items I buy.

* This is rated at 1800 lumens, but is dimmer (side by side) than the Ultraire UF502B I bought here on Amazon for $6 less. The Ultraire is rated at 1000 lumens.

* The beam width adjustment is too loose, put it in any given position and the slightest bump or jar caused the "focus" to change.

* The beam width adjustment, unlike most other flashlights, isn't a twist adjustment, but a sliding fore/aft affair. No precision in the adjustment.

* In My Opinion => I have a number of flashlights that are multi-mode. Most have four or five modes and that is too many. At most, I would like to see a "bright", "dim" and "flash", and these need to be very distinct in their selection. Having to sit there and push the button, creating flashes of light each time (yes, I know about short stroking the control button) is a royal PITB.

Sadly, the gulf between the ad copy and the real life function of this flashlight is quite large Too large.

I will give it to my kids and consider it a throw away. As mentioned I dislike having to give bad reviews, but in this case I see no other option.
