I placed 2 of these units on the top of posts either side of my backyard gate, and have been relatively please with performance so far.

Pros: The units are bright, solar powered, automated (on at dusk, off at dawn), last well past midnight (I have not seen them lose power after dark), and were painless to mount.

Cons: The plastic mounting is not very sturdy, and the banding above and below the grill is poorly afixed (I had to glue both units).

Summary: I would recommend these if you are looking for simple solar alternative to post lights that is relatively bright and easy to install, despite the minor construction issues cited here.

While not the most attractive looking solar light, it is very bright. I think its the design the makes it so bright. The LED lightbulb is mounted in the top of the fixture and faces down on a prism. the prism reflects the light out the plastic that has "waffle" look that then distributes the light again, almost like a disco ball.

The solar panel on top is very large, almost the entire top of the fixture, which allows it gain as much sunlight as possible.

It does have some decorative bands around the top and bottom that is really just something to keep it from looking like a cube. I didn't buy this for looks but really as some cheap security lighting in areas that don't have an electric power source.

I have a total of 6 and I can look out the upstairs window at night and see the patio...or any suspicious shadows.

Completely assembled.... works right out of the box...... bright light.

If you are not pleased with the white trim, 2 rows of black electrical tape

will cover the white, and blend with the black panels.

I have other solar lights, and this is the brightest of them all. Recommended.

I bouth 6 of this lights when I install then it worked great very bright but after one week one went out and never came on again.

I send it back for a replacement then the 2nd one went out then the 3rd and 4th now none is working all 6 of them what a waist of money.

There is NO manufacture name or phone number on the box.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
