I read in bed. I watch tv in bed while I'm reading. This is the perfect solution. I can focus the cool light on my reading with no glare on the television. Further, it's so easily adjustable that I can keep the light from bothering my husband who falls asleep much earlier than I want to.
It's very flexible and sturdy. I searched for months for something of this nature and this was in the right price range and a tolerable finish (the headboard is wrought iron finish) to go with the decor, such as it is! Note that the lamp has a momentary delay before the led's light. Don't know why this is the case, but it's not a problem, just something to adjust to, or you might try to rock the switch again.

I loved this lamp with only two thoughts to share.First, the finish of the lamp is somewhat more "faux-finish"-looking than I could tell from the picture kind of looks like someone sponge-painted two different colors of metallic paint on it. It's fairly subtle, but not quite what I expected.
Second, the bulb that comes with the lamp is incredibly cold and bright so you may want to go out and find a gentler one, depending on your preference. The GU10 LED bulbs are fairly easy to find, though not as common as a standard bulb.
I do love the gooseneck for flexibility and the overall look of the lamp. And the customer service from Amazon and Lamps Plus was great.

Very bright and focused led light. Doesn't emit too much heat, easy to install, flexible. Works good for reading in bed without disturbing your other half.Honest reviews on LED Bronze Gooseneck Plug-In Swing Arm Wall Lamp
This wall sconce looks pretty good, installs easily and produces a reasonable light. That said, and in spite of specific information on the Amazon (and others) website, this gooseneck wall lamp is NOT dimmable.
I called CAL Lighting, the manufacturer, who confirmed that the lamp is not dimmable and advised that there must have been a "miscommunication between them and their distributors". They offered no support at all.
So, I'm out the cost of the dimmers (about $25), can't return the lights (as I now have holes in my wall), and the light is too bright for a bed lamp.
The lack of support from the manufacturer is damning.
Not recommended.
