We purchased two of these lights for our bedroom just to try them out prior to a remodel. We currently have 28 cans in the house; all burn 65 watt incandescent and we seem to be replacing them every 6 months to a year-costly and irritating. I had low expectations for the LED, fearing glaring blue tinged Christmas lights, but figured if they really could last 22+ years and not heat the house in the summer they were worth a go. I have NO complaints with these! They were simple to install; little more than replacing a light bulb. The light is actually brighter than my incandescent and I like the color better--warm, but much closer to natural light--not yellow. They don't need to "warm up" like fluorescent, and work beautifully on my dimmer. The fixture looks high-end; white baffle and trim and no GE logo on the exposed bulb (there IS no exposed bulb:-) Although initial cost is intimidating (did I mention we have 28 cans?) the cost savings over time considering replacement and energy savings is huge--for us, over $14,000 if they actually last 20 years. I would recommend shopping around--got mine from the local Home Depot for less than the Amazon price, but we couldn't find them cheaper anywhere online.

My handyman bought these from the big-box store for new recessed lights we wanted to put in out master bedroom. I love these lights ... the color is pleasing. It is dimmable and best of all it uses very low energy and last 22 years!! I plan on slowly replacing my incandescent can lights with these. Would highly recommend.Best Deals for Cooper Lighting ALED3T24 ALL-Pro LED Retrofit Recessed Downlight
Just bought these on clearence from my local orange big box retailer and they are great. Minutes to install in my six inch cans. Great light spread and color (3100 kelvin). These were the best Led retrofit lights the retailer had. The new ones the retailers are pushing are cheaper but don't have the same color or beam spread. You need a quality dimmer for these lights. My cheap dimmers worked fine on led bulbs but I need to upgrade to properly dim these all pro retrofit trims. They are pricey but the quality appears to be there.

Although I did not buy them at Amazon, I saved $20 a piece at Home Depot. These things are amazing. For years I just kept replacing the old "flood" lights that just sucked up electricity. I was looking around for some kind of light I could replace these with. Theres really not that much. When these canisters are installed theres no sheet rock,so to get them out it's almost impossible without tearing out the ceiling. Then I saw these LED lights. Simple and extremely energy efficient. Not real cheap, but worth the money.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Cooper Lighting ALED3T24 ALL-Pro LED Retrofit Recessed Downlight
I just bought 12 of these lights, to replace halogen incandescent bulbs. Installation is very easy. The light color is just right, although slightly less intense than the halogen bulbs. I am giving them only three starts for three reasons:1. The gasket that comes with it is very flimsy, and does nearly nothing to stop the attic dust from entering the house envelope.
2. The clips which hold the unit to the light can are very flimsy, and does little to hold the unit flush to the ceiling.
3. A little too expensive if compared to similar LED recessed lights.
