I know this bulb is meant for camping lanterns, but I used this to fix up an old flashlight. I had a little Coleman hand-held flashlight that took a single fluorescent bulb. It had been burned out for years, and I was never able to find a replacement bulb in any local store. Found this one here on Amazon, and it works like a champ.

When I received it, I tried them and they worked. A week later, when I really needed to use them, I turned on the lights, both appear getting bad: the end of the tubes are decolored/getting gray. I think the quality must be very poor.

Perfect fit. Nice light. Made my old camping lantern as good as new. Just what the lamp needed. Hopefully the bulb will last as many years as the previous one...only time will tell. I have had good luck with Eiko bulbs in other applications, like my snowmobiles.
