I was looking for some outdoor LED lights to hang under our patio umbrella. We leave the umbrella open most of the spring/summer/fall and like to have some lighting up under the open umbrella. In the past we've used regular white incandescent Christmas lights. This year I wanted to go LED but I wanted warm white. Took me a bit of looking to find these and they are almost ideal for my application. They have just the right warm white color very similar to the old incandescent lights. They could be just a bit brighter but they certainly aren't bad. They also use an in-line rectifier to feed just DC to the bulbs, eliminating the annoying flicker you normally get with LED lights that are fed from household AC current. Very few LED light sets use this technique and it is a great thing to do. We don't know how long they will work but, being LED, they should go for just about forever for just about zero cost to operate.

Returned I am sure the bulbs last a long time, but they were wired into the socket and did not screw in. Replacement of the bulb was not possible.
