This light is terrific. Puts out very bright light and lasts a long time. It has a fun hanger that allows you to tilt it and the the solar battery has a long enough cord for you to put it in the brightest part of the roof while hanging the light where you need it most. The only negative thing I would say is that you don't have a remote on off button. I have to get on a chair to turn off and on for best use. However this light is much better than the other solar light I bought that has a remote. That one is so sensitive that it doesn't come on when there is a full moon much less when someone walks near it with a flashlight!
All in all, where there are rolling power cuts, you need some sense of security around the house, and you need to find your way in when you are in an area with absolutely no light (no street lights, and power off all around) this is a fabulous investment. The best that I have had.
I am editing this review, not because I have anything bad to say about these lights, only because now I have ordered at least 8 of them. The two just received are for workers who live in our little neighborhood in Tanzania. They love the way our house looks like a "disco" because of these fabulous outdoor lights, and are impressed by how these lights really help to protect the house when the power cuts are in effect. Why aren't they on Amazon Prime?????

Lights up a larger area than I expected. So far mine provides light for 13+ hours on the low intensity light setting. "Metal construction" in the description seems a bit misleading; except for the U shaped light mounting bracket, most of the construction appears to be the typical plastic.Best Deals for Maxsa Solar-Powered 10 Hour Floodlight
This is better made than a lot of the cheapie solar lights but it really didn't meet my needs. It does not have a light sensor to automatically turn on.
I had hoped to use it to light a flag on my porch..it must be turned on and off manually at the light itself so it limits where I can mount it. It does not light up the flag as I hoped as the light is too difuse to really do the job.
I have moved it to light a see of stairs onto the porch and it serves its purpose but I would be careful. The light is good for about 4 or 5 feet and beyond than not powerful enough to serve the job.
Not worst money I have ever spent but I am still searching for a solution short of hiring an electrican and hard wiring a spot light with a light sensor.
