I've been on something of a quest for an LED bulb worthy of replacing CFL's or incandescents and have not been happy till now. While it may look overly industrial and something of an eyesore, this solid unit stays cool while providing a bright, concentrated beam of pleasing light. Perhaps it is the individual reflectors at each LED or just the quality of them generally, but they have no trouble throwing a bright beam of light unlike any other LED I've tried and with solid construction and relatively light weight. It is, however, a product of China, but so far that is true of most.

These Eco-Lite LED's finally pleased me with the brightness and uniform color as close as you can get to the Halogen they replaced and they look much more modern and elegant. The dimming feature is very linear and it packs a lot of luminosity for the only 24Watts used. Excellent product, they got it right.

bought 2 to replace can lights in our 2 home hall ways. very bright and dimmable uses 6X less watts than the incandescent bulbs they replaced. soft white LED color has essentially the same visual effect as the old bulbs.

I ordered several of the Eco-Lite "120W equivalent" LEDs and ended up returning over half of them. The ones returned has loose heat sinks (shake the bulb gently and you cannot miss the clunk), which is a fault known to shorten the life of the LEDs. The color of the Eco-Lite is very nice though and the aluminum extrusion is heavy. The 60 degree angle is fiction. The Eco-Lites provide a bright hot spot under the bulbs at (maybe) a 20 degree angle and then the light falls off sharply.

I have switched my flood lamp LED purchases to EcoBrites, which are a true very wide flood (about 100-120 degrees). The EcoBrites company is a pleasure to do business with. Their aluminum extrusions are equally solid and rarely is there a problem with the product. The EcoBrites dim over a fuller range than the Eco-Lites, throw off even more light and have a great wide angle dispersion, eliminating bright spots. As I said, you get what you pay for.
