The old mains-powered always-on exit signs use two bulbs, and they are now close to $5 each at the local hardware store. And they don't last very long (typically around 4 months I think) so that's a big chunk of the maintenance budget. Only comparable ones I found were 40W, which causes a different problem. Mostly LED signs have been used for the last 10 years or so, but that is an expensive conversion- sure, conversion cost is offset by low running cost eventually, but I'm in rented premises for only another three months. Supplier is good, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with.

The price and delivery was great for this product. I just put some of them in so I'll wait to see if they are long life bulbs.
