I've tried 5 different kinds of lights on our dog when we walk him at night. This one works the best so far. It is light, powerful, rugged, and waterproof. It is better than the bike lights I'd been using as the batteries seem to last a lot longer and are easier to change. I'm also a scuba diver and they work great as tracking and emergency lights on night dives too.

I bought two of these specifically for night scuba diving. I put one on the yoke of my wifes tank and one on the yoke of my tank. We can easily identify each other when night diving with a group which we had a little difficulty doing prior to using these flashers. I like that I can see my own flasher and they are not too bright to be distracting. I would highly recommend these to instructors and dive masters so that dive team members can easily identify you. The only problem I've had is they can be a little difficult to turn on and off but I probably just need to clean the threads. I would also like a few different color lens options.

It does not work very well and you have to turn and turn; and then

it might work. It needs some grease. Would not advise buying this

model. Buy a larger one. The picture looks larger; but it is very

small.

Pelican is a good company which makes great products, but this is not one of them. It is not as bright as the e-gear lights, and the twist switch is extremely difficult to use. The red plastic which is the part that twists is smooth and has no grip ridges. Also, my internal light assembly metal contact broke the first time I tried to change the batteries, and Pelican will not replace the part or light unless I mail the old one back to them. I understand that, but it makes the warranty almost worthless -to have to go the the post office and buy an envelope and stand in line to mail the thing back for 3 or 4 bucks, then wait a few weeks --all for a $11 to $15 light. Come on, Pelican, you guys are better than that.
