I purchased two of these for use in my office cabinets and they work pretty well. My complaints are with the short cable length and the conflicting information in the manual versus the packaging. The outside of the package says "Link up to 6 lights" and shows 6 puck lights plugged into one transformer power distribution block. The manual shows this same image, but the actual wording in the manual(one page info sheet) is as follows:

"Additional lights should be attached to a separate transformer. Permanent damage to the transformers or lights will occur if 6 lights are connected."

So which is it? Doesn't matter to me, if a manufacturer is confused about what you can and can't do with it's own product, I think I will err on the safe side and keep 3 lights to each transformer. The only reason these didn't go back is because they are 12V DC and not 120V AC, so the fire hazard is low in my installation.

Bought these to replace halogen puck lights as previous lights were too hot.

First thing is the price is great. Most LEDs were 60+ in the store and less versatile.

The light output is great. Not as bright as 6 halogen pucks (or even 3 of them) but plenty of enough light for our purpose (lighting under a loft for a desk).

Mounting: Each of the pucks has double sided tape already attached. However, it does not seem to be thick enough to stick to anything as the metal ring around the light is too tall. The package contained 3 more doubled sided tape/foam which I put on top of the 1st piece of tape. I also chose to use the mounting screws. Getting the metal rings off the lights was very very hard. It is very snug and you don't get much room to work with. Having someone with strong nails would help.

The wire on the pucks was just long enough for our purpose, but maybe too short for others. Maybe around 1.5-2ft long.

Switch works well.

Overall good buy.

As others have said, the wires to the lights are a bit short. The power hub has six connections with room for up to six lights, although the kit only contains three lights. I needed six lights so I bought two kits. However, I wanted all six lights to work from one power supply so I would not have to separately turn on two strings and not have to use up two power outlets on the kitchen counter. I could not get all six lights to reach the one hub with their short wires. (the lights were being used as under cabinet lights for kitchen cabinets for a total length of 6 feet.) What I did was to cut the wire and hub off the second power supply and discarded that power supply, and spliced that wire and hub into the wire from first power supply near the end of the first hub making sure the polarity was correct. This allowed me to mount the second hub about 4 feet away from the first hub, near where the furthest three lights needed to be mounted. In the end I had three lights on each of the two hubs and with the two hubs separated by about 4 feet from each other. That way all six lights could reach a hub, and all worked from the same power supply. The lights work great with a nice soft white glow that is plenty bright. I chose to screw the lights into the cabinet bottom, so I did not see how well the sponge mounts would work. The lights are very lightweight, so the sponge mounts probably work, but I liked the security of screw mounting. For those who might worry about splicing the wires as I did, these lights are low voltage so you are not dealing with dangerous voltages. You do need to make sure you maintain the correct polarity as the LED lights use direct current so the current must go in the proper direction. If you are only using the three lights, the wire length should be ok for most installations. If not, you can just splice in added wire to lengthen it.

Are you wondering how so many reviews could comment on the length of the wires to each puck without telling you exactly how long they are? I certainly was. I'm here to tell you each puck has exactly 20" of wire, not including the connector.

I've posted 3 images. One of the puck illuminated and next to a measuring tape, another of the wiring harness next to the tape, and an image of the final installation (corner cabinets over Corian counters) at our home. The most difficult part was splicing wires. Note that the wiring is polar and if you switch them when splicing the puck will not work so watch out for that!

Since they cannot be daisy-chained one after the other that means the farthest the light assembly can be stretched is about 40". So if you could mount the connection hub in the center you can get it to cover maybe 2 double door cabinets as shipped. In my application this wasn't enough, I had to splice additional wire into one of the pucks to get them located properly. The wire is very light, similar to speaker wire. It's low voltage DC so it's easy and safe to splice and work with.

The pucks are incredibly bright. I've never seen LEDs so bright. I can't even look at them directly because they hurt my eyes they're so bright they're comparable in brightness to the halogen lights I had previously. The light is not as warm as I'd hoped, it's about half way between blue and amber. Not quite amber enough to be called warm in my opinion.

The pucks and wiring are so light I did our whole installation with 3m 2-sided tape. That worked fine and made installation a snap.

The brand name on the package is Westek. The pucks are given a part number in the documentation of "LSP10KB". Google is not turning up anything under that brand and part number, and Westek apparently doesn't have a website, so it appears buying additional pucks one at a time or replacing them if/when they fail is not an option at this time. You'd have to buy a new kit.

I'm cautiously optimistic. We'll see how they hold up over the long term but I'm pleased so far. The pucks are very light and easy to attach. If they hold up for a year or so I'll buy more kits.

I'm going to give it 5-stars although I have a few quibbles. The light is not as warm as I hoped, the wiring harness isn't long enough to be practical for a normal installation like mine and you can't buy single puck replacement parts to do adds or replacement. Otherwise I'm very pleased and consider this kit a value.

I bought two packs of these at our local Ace Hardware. My husband opened the first pack and plugged in one light to check brightness before deciding how far apart to install them. The first one he checked had a section of 4 LEDs that did not light up. The second one he checked seemed to have a bad connection just touching the wire could change whether it was on or off. The third one worked OK. But 2 out of 3 bad right out of the package is very poor quality, we returned both packs and are looking for some other wired attractive thin LED under cabinet lights.

We already have a different brand of LED undercabinet lights that work well, by Inspired LED, Super Bright LED under cabinet cove, Full kit, 10 light panels, 2 powersupplies, warm white LEDs! They're great for behind a wooden valence on one set of cabinets, they really light up the counter nicely, but they don't look nice enough to install where they'll be seen.
