The output from the LEDs I received is pretty much white. Any color I put in front of it just looks lit up like normal. This does not light up whites more than other colors like I was looking for. I am able to get a gemstone to fluoresce a bit with them, but it's a bit washed out from all of the white.

Otherwise, the LED glows with a bit of a purplish tint when it's on, but the light doesn't appear to carry that, except maybe for a tiny purple halo around the edges.

I'm disappointed.

They are certainly blacklight LEDs, but they didn't glow as brightly as I had hoped. I ended up not using them for my project, but they do emit UV light as advertised; just not as strongly as desired.

Not sure why others are having problems with these. True, there is a faint white emission. But did you expect to see an ultraviolet light? 385nm is way out of the range of human vision.

I used these to make an underwater UV light for diving. It worked like a champ -lots of stuff fluoresced under these lights, especially underwater. Also FWIW, my Texas drivers license fluoresced strongly green under these LEDs, while it barely fluoresced at all under 395nm and 405nm lights.

My only complaint is that I'd like them to be brighter in the UV range. Otherwise they were perfect...

I got 20 of these LEDs and,

1st, they barely work at all,

2nd, they are NOT UV they are WHITE!!

I contacted them a week ago and no response.
