This little item is sturdy and super cute. I used it for a night light for my little girl. The colors are easy to see and the figure is about the size of a normal doll which makes it extra fun.

This lamp is so incredibly cute. The lights are in the body part only, apparently, because the arms light up very brightly and the face glows much less than the body. Other than that, I just think it's over priced. On the positive side, my sixty year old sister is going to love this for her birthday because she's a Hello Kitty fan and you can't buy this in the stores so I know she hasn't seen it. I shopped for this on a number of sites and found conflicitng information. This can be run on batteries or plugged into the wall and the adapter IS included. Some sites said it wasn't included and I wasn't sure who to believe.
