The 2700 deg color temperature and 470 lumens gives a very pleasing light. Good color rendition without being harsh.

They work very well with dimmers. The light goes where you want it as opposed to a CFL or halogen. LEDs like this are great for spots and floods. They are not cheap, but then you may never have to change the bulb ever again.

This bulb is everything it says it is. Nice 2700k warm light, dimmable, I guess it is saving electricity

I live in a quiet house and the whine is really annoying

I put two in my bedroom, now have to shop around and replace them.

Best Deals for Philips 420182 10-Watt (35-Watt) MR16 LED Soft White 2700K Wide

This light, like all LEDS that I have tried to date, is a mixture of success and failure.

The best thing about this is the color temperature is very warm, the closest to a halogen that I've seen from any LED.

The dimming function works, and while I didn't check with philips' list of 'leading' dimmers, if Elco isnt on the list then its bogus because they are industry standard cans. The problem with the dimming is twofold it supposedly dims to 10%, but the 10% of this light bulb is a whole lot brighter than the 10% on my analog halogens. Still, the color temp at that level is still better than any other LED I've tried in this format.

However, the deal-killer, which will result in these lamps being relegated to basement duty, is the WHINE! yes the high pitched whine that sounds like a computer fan coming from the unit when its dimmed below full power. Totally kills the mood. I put one of these in my bedroom to test it and when everything had settled down in the evening, I kept hearing something annoying that I thought was outsideand I spent 10 minutes running around like a nutter until I realized that it was coming from this bulb.

Also like most LED that supposedly replace halogens, the dimensions are a bit off, resulting in a poor fit in the can no matter what. So for the price, I think this is a 2 star product.

Honest reviews on Philips 420182 10-Watt (35-Watt) MR16 LED Soft White 2700K Wide

We like the light that comes from these bulbs, but since they are labelled as "dimmable", I was expecting that I could, well, dim them. With our switch, which worked fine on halogens, I can dim to about 90% brightness before they switch off. One other note is that the bottom sticks out below what our halogens did it's not a problem with our fixtures, but it's worth noting. If you look at the light, the semi-clear bit is what sticks out beyond the normal halogen size.
