We purchased this snowman because we thought our daughter would like him. With the white plastic, he glows well and the color changing effect is good. However, even with new batteries, he doesn't glow for a long time. Maybe a few hours maximum. Might be the winter has less sun to charge it efficiently, but a snowman is supposed to go out when it's winter. Just know that he doesn't glow for long when you're buying.

The product needs a lot of sunlight to work properly. I bought it in the beginning of winter and on sunny days, albeit short as there's not a lot of sunlight, it stays lit for about five hours. But no days that it's cloudy it doesn't even turn on at all.In short, don't purchase this if you're looking for something spectacular. It's not bad for a couple bucks though, and it still pretty cute in the daytime when it's not lit.
