I bought 2 packs of these LED Tap Lights and was excited when they arrived. That excitement was short lived after inserting the 3 AAA batteries which, as stated, were not included. I don't mind them being flimsy, but the amount of light they throw is ridiculously minimal. I would never purchase another one of these even if the batteries were thrown in free. I would not recommend this light to anyone for anything. JDN

This light does't kick off much light about as much as a dim nightlight. It is also flimsy and cheap.

It isn't the brightest light but does work well for most purposes... plus batteries last quite a long time in them. I use mine as a light for my computer keyboard at night and what is nice is that it can be unattached from its base and used as a hand held light as well.

My daughters' bedroom is space deprived. Only one rat who ironically hates lights can have a nightstand (well, it's actually a cheap, plastic three drawer storage "dresser") with a lamp, while the older one, who reads at night after lights out and who owns the longer bed, got nada as far as artificial lighting goes. (Hey, I don't count flashlights.) So when I was at Target the other day, I grabbed these suckers up. Listen, I am not a member of Mensa, but I could definitely sense (yes, with the force) pretty darn much how much light these babies would give off and the "color" of the lighting (LED on the packaging gave me a clue) just by looking at them. I am proud to say that my first foray into the land of tap lights is blissful. Due to no AC use at night, my daughter sleeps at the opposite end of her bed now in order to be closer to the fan (ie. her head is now were her feet used to be). She placed the light where her wintertime head used to be, and even with the light presently 4' to 4.5' away from her head and 17" above her head, she can peruse her books just fine with the eyes in her summertime head. The adhesive is strong (be decisive about where you place it), and even a slug could turn it onit's that easy to use. The other one I am holding onto, as I feel that it will be great for travel. I do not need a light for my underwear drawer, thank you very much. Anyway, it does take three AAA batteries that are can be easily removed (light itself can be taken off of base after sticking), but they do not weigh down the light at all. Plus, LED uses less energy and lasts longer, so I can't complain. I have seen the light, yessiree, I have seen the light!

Great light. The batteries lasted for a long time. I am in the US Navy and used these on the inside of my coffin rack. These lights allowed for me to find articles in my locker with out having to turn on the lights. I highly recommend this product.
