Bought two of these to carry in my cars. The 4 inch case is made of aircraft aluminum, sturdy enough for light to medium duty use. It is built to run on one regular 1.5V AA or Li-Ion 3.5V battery (not included). I didn't have any Li-Ion batteries so I installed the AA's. It has the 5 functions in the product description and you need only to 1/2 press the button on the rear of the barrel to change the modes. A full press will lock in the mode you select and another full press of the button turns it off. It remembers the last mode and will repeat it with another full press of the button. The button take a bit more effort to press than some of the more expensive flashlights but I don't see this as a show stopper. The light is rated as 210 lumens in the product description and in practice, with the AA batteries it is nowhere near 210 lumens. I compared it to my more expensive Li-Ion 180 lumen light and it doesn't even come close. If I had to guess I'd say it's closer to 90 lumens with an AA battery. I haven't used it with a 14500 Li-Ion battery yet but I do believe, based on my experience with my other flashlights the flashlight will perform much better with the 3.6V battery. but I'd be surprised if it puts out 210 lumens with one 3.6V Li-Ion battery.

There is a clip to secure the light in your pocket. The clip seems a little flimsy as it is made of wire instead of a a spring clip like you see on the more expensive models. I haven't used it much so I can vouch for how well it will secure the light in your pocket but will definitely will not hold as secure as the spring clip models I own.

It wasn't clear in the ad but after I ordered I found that this light ships from Singapore. The original shipping estimate was 3-6 weeks, much longer than I am used to from Amazon. It took 3 weeks total from order to receipt. This was not a big issue since I was not in a hurry.

I was disappointed with the packaging. The package I received left something to be desired. The flashlights were loose in the manila envelope (instead of a box), and out of their flimsy boxes which were crushed. The only real protection was a couple of turns of bubble wrap. The good news is there was no damage due to poor packaging and both flashlights work. There are no instructions included but battery installation and operation was easy enough for me to figure out.

In summary, I'm happy with the purchase. I think these lights are worth the price. If you are expecting something on the order of a more expensive Streamlight you will be disappointed. But for 15 bucks I think this light is a good deal.

Upate: 10/24/2012 installed a Li-ion 14500 battery in the light. The Li-Ion battery significantly improves the performance. It is about twice as bright as it was using only the AA batteries and nearly as bright as my 180 Lumen Streamlight that uses two CR123 batteries. Is it up to the advertised 210 Lumens? I don't think so but it is very bright for a small light and I still think its worth the price.
