Like most other book light users I have had many. This one gives a good amount of light and the swivel head on the bulb is nice. However, the light must be folded closed to be turned off. In the closed position you can turn the light on or off with the switch. There is no way to turn the light off when it is in the open position that you would use for attaching to a book. I was certain I was wrong but after reading the directions multiple times I realized I was not. For those of us who read ourselves to sleep, it is at a minimum inconvenient to have to remove the light from the book and fold it closed in order to turn it off. After inspecting the light I discovered that there was a pressure button on the side of the light that was how folding it turned it off. I finally super-glued the switch in an off position. This allows me to turn the light off even when it is in the open position. With this fix the light is on the better side of average compared to other lights I have used.
