Bought 7 of these lanterns none of them worked until I opened them up and replaced the batteries. The batteries that come installed were junk. I could not even charge them in a wall-socket recharger unit. When I purchased new rechargeable batteries the lanterns then worked. This cost me an additional $10 that given the price of the lanterns they should have included a working battery. Though I do like the look of the lanterns I can not recommend them.

This is the second Allsop solar item I've purchased and neither of them have worked. I have various other brands of solar lights in the yard, and have had years of use out of them. I will avoid this brand in the future.

Attempted to charge the lanterns 2 days in a row, but no dice. Fresh out of the box and non-responsive. Needless to say I was not too happy with the purchase.

I purchased 3 of these and none of them work, however, will try to replace the batteries, as one reviewer suggested and see if that does the trick? However, I'm extremely displeased with the company selling these, as they certainly should stand by their product and make certain they work before shipping them out...terrible! Was going to purchase more, but definately will not. This is a company that doesn't care about the consumer...I will say on their behalf, the shipment arrived quickly. Other then that, I'd suggest purchasing from another company.

The color of this lantern is actually bright orange, so if you're looking for something subtle, I would pass on poppy.
