I purchased both the brown cardboard candelabra adapter that I found everywhere super cheap, and this one.

This is MUCH higher quality. I'm afraid the cardboard type might catch on fire. The parts on this one are clean and seamless, whereas the cardboard type has messy soldering and looks like it would fall apart.

This costs a bit more but this is one of those cases where you get what you pay for.

The only thing to keep in mind before purchasing this product is that the wide bases of some compact flourescents will not reach the contact inside the socket. The plastic lip gets in the way. If you want to use compact flourescents with the wide bases then you're stuck with the cheap cardboard adapters.

I bought ceiling fans that require candelabra bulbs, by mistake. I order these and they worked perfectly. Nothing more to say, they fit right in, made the connection and works well. I'm able to use my 100watt bulbs now. They Work!!!!!!!!!!!!

This seems to be the most solid E12-E27 adapter that Amazon offers. Even so, I consider this the minimum standard: it's nothing more than a piece of plastic and very thin threaded metal, and the candelabra part was actually a little loose on the item I received. I don't think I would trust it to hold a heavy bulb (such as an LED) facing downward without some additional creative supergluing. It's quite beyond me that there exist even flimsier adapters than this (made of cardboard apparently, "what could possibly go wrong").

The adapter ended up working just right in my case (bulb facing up), and lengthened my Philips LED bulb by 1 1/8".

I'm subtracting one star for the loose thread, and one more star for the rather high price considering that this is only a few grams worth of plastic and almost foil-like metal.

This item is exactly what it says, but decided not to use it because it does not have the UL (Underwriters Lab) approval that we are accustomed to seeing in the U.S. for an electrical product. It is probably fine, but I don't want to risk a short or a fire. What do you expect for two bucks? I should know better.
