This is a neet little windmill. I like it because it has a large base and the light stays on all night. We have high winds here and this windmill stands up to it great.

This would probably work well in a sheltered garden location, although the screw provided to hold the blades in place was totally inadequate and the instructions were hard to follow. Still, putting it together is fairly intuitive.

Unfortunately, I wanted to use in in an area that receives a lot of wind and the blades spun off the first day. They're lightweight plastic and didn't break, so I'll find a way to attach them more securely. It probably won't be possible to let them turn, and I hope they'll stand up to the wind as stationary blades. I also had to devise a way to anchor the base to the ground, but that wouldn't be necessary if it were more sheltered.

It makes an attractive yard ornament and the solor lights work well.

Four months later: Thought I'd update this review. One of the blades snapped off in a strong wind, but I like the base well enough that I replaced the blades with some I cut from a piece of plywood (then painted and reinforced). So far, so good. The solar lights are still working.
