Love these lights. Haven't put them in the ground yet, but have tested them on the living room floor. Brightness is about what I was expecting... pretty decent. Love the pattern the light and shadows make. Also, these do a good job of keeping the light focused in a cone shape toward the ground... no direct light pointed toward the neighbors' houses.
NOTE: the wire-tap box for connecting to the low-voltage supply line is designed for 14-gauge wire (we had bought 12-gauge at Lowes and had to return it). Also, the connection box is like most others I've seen... I wouldn't trust it to be completely waterproof, so I'm planning to caulk the boxes with a quality outdoor caulk before burying.
