Cute item,bright light, works well. It is a bit noisy but tolerable. My complaint is the arm I can't get it to stay where I want it. I can't get the nut tight enough to hold it where I want it. So I am having to prop it up.

It looks like a white egg on my desk when folded up. A plastic white egg. Switches seem cheap. But the light was decent, so at first I thought it was a good purchase. I've used it for a few hours now and I want to bang my head against the wall. The base of the lamp, of my lamp, was not built well. As a result, I get this constant buzzing sound. The only way I can stop the buzzing is to hold down the lamp with my hand to stop the vibrations. If I put pressure on the middle of the base (from the bottom up), I can decrease the noise, but it's still there. And then it gets louder. Now usually I am lazy enough to just deal with minor inconveniences. But this is SO annoying, I have to make the effort to return it instead. I'm guessing the other reviewers had better luck with their lamps.

Yes I am a cubicle workerbut I have been using white light for some time now. It really helps your eyes and you are not getting tired. I love the design and had already 4 people in the office telling me that they like my lamp as well. The ipod feature is a nice plus the cable connector is not included. Makes a great gift specially if you know somebody that works in a "box" as well :)

The illumination is superb. The lighting is easy on the eyes. Does not cause any glare. Opens and folds up nice and neat. The iPhone/iPod hookup does leaves much to be desired. When hooked up, the iPhone does not sit nicely in the iPhone section of the Ott Light. The lamp was a lot bigger than I had envisioned. The lamp was able to fully illuminate my work area which is about 4 feet by 2-1/2 feet of desk area.
