Item came ahead of date by 5 days. Works like it was descried. Only issue is tht it is only battery opetated, wish there was an option for adapter so you could plug in. batter life not long enoug for long progects. Other than that a very good product. I like that its hands free letting me use both hand for sewing, and crafting.

For the price, this magnifier is OK but it could have been larger. While I can find some use for it, it's not as functional as I'd hoped because it's too small. Ott Lite should offer a variety of sizes.

I bought this lighted magnifier to assist me in threading needles and my sewing machine. I can now thread my needles in less than 15 seconds! It would take me several [frustrating] minutes before I had this little baby! I was even able to take a splinter out of my own finger the other day thanks for the freestanding style. My only complaints are that it was a little difficult getting the batteries in (I had to ask my husband to do it grrrrrr!), and the clamp doesn't open wide enough to clip onto my table top. It works so great that my husband even borrows it!

Use it for knitting, tatting and hand work, use it nightly and have not replaced batteries. A have to have!
