I ordered 5 of these to replace some wiring for outdoor flood lights. 3 out of the 5 failed when i installed the bulbs. The metal retainer collapsed and threw a spring that kept it in place. Cheap product. If you decide to use this product, before installing bulbs, take a knife or safety pin and create an opening in the metal retainers. Otherwise they will collapse if you try installing the bulb without special preparation. Good Luck

Needed replacement socket for a rock light (MR16 bulb) instead of replacing the entire unit. These are inexpensive, so I got a few extras for my electrical tool box. Even if I never ever need another, it's worth it to have spares since I'm always piddling with retrofitting, etc. There were a number of vendors available on the Internet, but this one's description caught my eyes as quality parts.

Very pleased, the socket was inexpensive but did the trick. My halogen socket had burned out, and it would have been complicated to replace the entire fixture. Along with a ceramic wire extender, this socket really did the trick, and it took only a few minutes to install. The halogen now works better than ever.
