This LED flood light is the best solar LED light I have ever used. First, it holds up the charge for the whole night. I believe it must use the latest cell phone battery technology, so it can hold up so much charges in this pretty light-weighted flood light. Secondly, it is very smart: in its default operating mode, when it detects no people walking by, it reduces the brightness to save the battery power but still provide good illumination for the surrounding area. When it detects motions, it instantly turn up to the full brightness, which is very very bright. It also has an option to turn off the light when it detects no motion after some period like the regular motion detection flood light, but why not leave it on for the whole night? It's free solar power!

I also like its all-in-one design. It is very easy to install. Just put in two screws then hang it on. Previously I brought two of the earlier model, it works very good in my back yard for illuminating the entire 4000 sqt feet area. Now I brought this latest model (DDC) for my front door. This spot has very limited sun light every day. It works perfectly to hold up the charges even though I installed it below the roof which is partially blocking the sky.

We picked this light because of its looks. It is a little hard to mount as the two screws need to be exactly at the right locations so that they can fit into the mounting holes in the blind. If the screws are too tight, they won't fit the holes. If too loose, the light fixture would be loose. I also could not mount the light below the gutter as there are not enough sun. I was going to return the light but their service has been top notch so I gave it another try and re-mounted it on the gutter. Hanging it on the gutter is another improvision that I wish it could have been avoided with better mounting design. The motion sensor at the gutter height still has a very short range of only 12 -15 feet and I am looking for more than twice that. It works okay so far for about a month. I like the looks but the light is a bit too expensive for what it does.
