i am NOT a fan of the small solar lights on a stick that people place all over the outside of their home. I actually HATE them, they give NO light, and look blue.

I have a statue outside that I had wanted to up light and I had seen this in a store and purchased it, thinking I would have to return it, I WAS WRONG! I am so pleased with this product, the light is bright (and I hae the .5 watt) It actually lights up the dark unlike those other ones, and it is a pure clean white light!

I will be buying more of these to use outside. You will not be sorry.

The mini-spotlight is very bright, and set up is a breeze. You can select from 4, 5, or 6 hours of illumination which comes on automatically at dusk. We're using it to illuminate an address sign that faces north, so being able to locate the solar panel separately on the south side of the sign was an important feature.

came promptly and was easy to assemble. the amount of light given off is really the best i could find with solar properties---the duration is about 2-3 hrs and i wish the instructions were a bit more detailed about the timing set-up (i think i have it right but not sure)--all in all a decent product

Several months ago I installed this over our downstairs entry door. It lights up the door area nicely about like a flashlight would do. The solar panel gets sun only half the day, which gives me about 3 to 4 hours of light at night. Rainy days appear to cut that way down. The quality of the components and documentation were good.

Had some problems with the original unit's directions and returned same. The second try worked well. We installed the unit at the end of a long driveway which is without a reasonable power source. We always have concerns about the capacity of a solar unit to work in a Seattle winter. This one does the job!
