I got this to try to find urine stains on a persian rug. With the high-contrast patterns on the rug it was very difficult to see stains even with this light. With quite a bit of effort I found the stink and was able to get rid of it. Yeah! On more normally patterned rugs, however, this light makes the stains stand out clearly.

I say be careful because the instructions make it clear that looking into this light would be dangerous and that it would be a very bad idea to have this light where kids might find it and play with it. I went as far a putting a warning label on the light itself just in case someone comes across this and doesn't know what it is.

it did not find cat urine for 3 of my cats, even in known areas, still giving it 4 out of 5 because it seems like a solid product, excellent design. But the fact that it doesn't work for what I need, ill be sending it back.

When one lives in the land of scorpions and other nighttime nastys, there is a great need to know where one puts a finger or foot.

While toted as a urine(and other protein-) finder, this 380nm light makes the unpleasant bugs look as if they have been plugged into a light socket while leaving them totally undamaged.

A photo was going to be provided but the effect of the flash pretty well cancels that of this really nice light.

There has been no opportunity to look for that elusive and odoriferous source of eau-de kitty, but it is suspected that this will work every bit as well as it does for the bugs.

We use this to check to see if our tenant's pets have urinated on the floor once they move. It works real well, I only wish it was bigger and covered more area at one time.
