Hi Everyone.
My goal Find three different size candles to put together as a set, all by the same company, and all remote controlled (same company means one remote) and with timers if possible. I decided to just go ahead and purchase three different kinds to see what I thought of each and return what I didn't like.
I purchased the Gerson, the Flameless 7 Pack set currently sold by UAB Inc., and the Signature Collection two pack by Enjoy Lighting.
Without hesitation, I can tell you that these are the gold standard. The three LED's used in each candle provide an extremely realistic candle like effect, plus the color of the "flame" through the wax also has the color of a real flame. I was very impressed.
The Gerson's are not really a close second... but I would call them a decent compromise if you have trouble obtaining the sizes you are looking for in the Enjoy Lighting brand. You'll likely have to look outside of Amazon to find the other sizes in the enjoy lighting remote controlled line up, but it is possible. The Gerson's are nice as they claim to provide a longer battery life. The remote also worked well. I just can not say that they had the most realistic flame really... and the color of the flame just seemed off to me. In the end, anyone could easily tell you that its a fake flame. This is not what I was ultimately looking for. If you don't mind as much, then its not a bad option at all.
So what are the cons?
Well, being that these have three LED's, it also requires four AA batteries and provide 300 hours of battery life. Not the greatest, so I consider that a trade off for what might as well be a real candle effect.
Second, unfortunately, the remote that came with my set did not work. So I haven't yet gotten to see the remote control in use. I have little doubt that the next remote will be fine though and I just got unlucky. I will be exchanging them for a new set. If the remote in the new set doesn't work, then I will be reporting that here. When I have time, I'll also let you know how the remote compares to the Gersons.
As far as the Flames 7 pack goes, you'll notice I haven't talked about them much. This is mainly because they were the complete opposite of realistic. The tall ones had the look of the light coming from within the candle. The top of the candle was dark... it wasn't realistic at all and immediately fell off my list of choices.

These candles were great for the 2-3 weeks that they lasted.One of them broke, the wiring fell out of the bottom. The other one no longer turns on.

Amazon ad states for "indoor and outdoor use in sheltered area" but instructions with candles states "indoor use only."Instructions with candles states to "turn off when not in use" or the candle life will deminish so remote is basicaly useless.

I ordered these for my wife after she spent some time trying to decide what she liked. We have not been disappointed. The look is very realistic, and the remote works quite well. We used them in a pair of lanterns that have a latching door which would make turning on/off cumbersome. I put rechargeable batteries in them which should resolve the problem of them being on all the time in standby. We left them on for an entire weekend, and the batteries seemed unaffected. Looking for the same product in a shorter version(3"x3").
