I tried some cheap extenders previously and was less than pleased those, so I decided to try these higher-end extenders. Although 4X the price of the cheap ones, these make a solid connection without fail. The housing is ceramic, so you needn't worry about heat damage or life of the housing. I'll be purchasing more of these in the future.

These allowed me to fit the huge daylight CFL bulbs into 10 inch reflectors. They work fine so far for this usage.

These extenders are just enough longer than others sold to work in my cans that are installed just to high in the ceiling. I can easily change out the bulbs now.

I bought these extenders for a lamp that had previously had a shade requiring a harp. I purchased a new shade which screwed on by using a light bulb attaching it through a metal bracket hole. The lamp shade set too low on the lamp and these extenders did exactly what they were supposed to do. They extended the bulb to exactly the right height so that the lamp shade sits at the correct height.

Exactly what I needed to "adapt" a CFL bulb to my floor lamp. As normal incandescent bulbs disappear I will be buying more of these to be able to use CFL or LED bulbs in all my lamps.
