The bulb in my sons lava lamp broke so we had to order a replacement. This was the exact same bulb that was already in the lamp. It works and fits great.

I needed 25 Watt R14 light bulbs and these were available. Screwed light bulb in. It lit up. I read a couple of books. Shut off the lamp the light bulb went out. I've repeated this routine several times and each time this happens.......

I use this in my wall mounted Ikea light for reading, and it provides more than enough clean light for reading at night in a dark room. I actually almost wish it gave out less light...but I suppose I could find a bulb with less wattage for that. The light is nice and directional and has just a hint of softness which is nice when reading things like magazines and the such. Highly recommended is you want that small space saving bulb for your reading environment.
