I live out in the country and we are always prepared for power outages. I was looking for something I could mount on the wall but this is not mountable. I keep it on the kitchen counter just in case. I haven't had the chance to use it during a power outage.

When our friend gave us this nightlight, I thought it was a little weird as a baby gift. O M G it is awesome. The charging green light doesn't interfere with sleeping, and is nice to have on when baby is in the same room. The white light is efficient, and can help you find ties to match your shirt when you are getting dressed in the dark. The round size is great for toddler hands. Very durable, we have used it nearly nightly for 4 years and found ourselves buying more with the second baby.

I used this on a trip, worked great as night light. Also, at home, our power went out, and the back-up light came on, and it became a flashlight. Will buy this for my mom to use when she travels.
