I am looking to replace all household bulbs with LED (yes, a costly, pain-in-the-butt task), so I have been testing several different types and brands to get the ones I like best. I have bought from various online retailers as well as big box stores.

This is my favorite thus far. I LOVE the quality of the light, and for $20, I am amazed. I spent more than that on others that I don't like. If you are a tungsten lover, then you may not like this. But I hate the orange glow of tungsten. It seems so artificial to me and looks horrible in photographs.

This bulb sends off a natural type of light that makes me feel like I am outside. I love natural lighting and since I seem to not have enough windows in this house, I am trying to recreate as much of that inside as possible. We call it the "happy light" here b/c it does make you feel happy. It would probably be a good investment for SAD-suffers just a thought.

Also, many of the other bulbs (here and especially at big box stores) are just not bright enough. I have wasted a lot of money. You really have to look and compare wattages and get the highest you can find b/c LED is going to be a little dimmer than tungsten wattages/lumens.

Overall --> great price for bright, clear, high quality light.

I recently purchased this bulb and another 60W equivalent, the Feit Electric A19. Though I found the BYD bulb to be brighter it's also much colder, and I didn't like that at all. I actually am not going to use it since it's too harsh and doesn't really work well in any of my rooms. If you're looking for a bulb that's closer to a traditional bulb (as far as warmth of light) I'd go with the Feit. Feit claims that their A19 bulb is roughly equal to 60watt output, but it seems dimmer than that to me.

Wow i was impressed with the out put of this bulb. so far its one of the brighter bulbs and not much blue cast, very faint. i would buy this one again .

This bulb didn't last 1 year. Now it is broke and there is no place to return the bulb too. The seller won't accept it and the company won't return phone calls. What a waste of money. The 3 year warranty is useless. Buy a different bulb from a different company.

These are nice LED bulbs BUT newer technology (like with the Cree's) make them obsolete. First they don't have the brightness of the newer bulbs that are out. They are around 1/3rd as bright as the Cree bulbs. They are also around twice as heavy and of course they cost twice as much. You could buy two Cree's for around the price of this one bulb. Or to put it another way, you could have 120 watt 1600 lumen daylight brightness instead of the little light this one bulb produces. These also put out a little more heat that newer LED bulbs do. On the plus side they use "slightly" less power than the Cree's (6.9 watts VS 9 watts).
