these lights were perfect for my use in my backyard . i have 7 large pine trees that I had planted to block an unpleasant view. They surround a gazebo in the backyard. One by one Oi am buying solar lights to brighten the gazebo area at night . These lights give off just the right amount of sparkle and work very well in the winter time also. I would recommend them ,especially for the price.

We have purchased a total of five of these units over two orders. One of the units from earliest order quit working after the first rainstorm. We water sealed the remaining two with both silcon hot glue and duct tape. Both work great and continue running till the sunrise. We decided to get two more. Well, even AFTER water sealing both units, one of the units stopped working after a rainstorm. We are sending this unit back. The most recent order appears to be a new design. The previous design had a waterproof toggle cover that would ONLY stay in place if the switch was in the "off" position! Who does that?! Anyway, the new model appeared more promising with a rubber button type of switch but obviously, that didn't pan out. Bottom line, if it works, you'll love it. Keep the box though, because you have a 50% chance of sending it back.

Love these lights. They create a magical feel at our lake house. Since they are solar they come on even if we aren't home....which may discourage theft.
