Overview:
-It's made of ABS plastic... but it looks fine-in fact, I thought my previous shower head was metal... until I removed it and found out it was also plastic.
-No batteries-it pulls it's power from the water pressure, more on this later
-The lights change with the temperature... you already knew this, I mean, it's in the product title :)
PROS:
-Cost: It's $20, even if you don't like it, it's not like you dropped a $50 bill for it
-Lights: Who doesn't like random gizmos? Anyways, the lights are about as bright as a night light... that is, it's bright enough to take a shower with (with your main lights out) if you want, but it is a dim shower.
-Construction: Yeah, it's coming from China (probably), it's made of plastic, but it seems to be put together pretty decent all things considered
-No batteries: It has a small turbine that generates power for the LED's by using your water pressure
CONS:
-Pressure drop: I used to shower at half pressure because I swear my shower could remove the outer 2 layers of skin. Installing this caused a significant pressure drop. I now shower at "full pressure" and it's fine... but it's one helluva lower pressure than it used to be. If your current pressure doesn't sting at full pressure, I would think twice about buying this!
-Plastic: It looks metal, but it's plastic. Then again, if you want metal, you better be prepared to spend a lot more than $20
-Noise: It doesn't use batteries (because, let's be honest, we'd never change them), but the little turbine does generate a whine. For me, this isn't a big deal as the noise of the shower pretty much drowns it out... I couldn't tell you if it sounds loud from outside the shower. Anyways, if you're OCD about stuff like this, you've been warned.
-Light Color: Really, green, then blue, then red? That order seems a little bit off (considering it is related to the water temp). Anyways, I don't take scalding hot showers, so I end up showering under the blue light for the most part. On the same note, those shower heads that have 7 different colors that change every 20 seconds would probably make me shoot myself as that's got to get oold quick.
-Light birghtness: not really a con for me as I wasn't expecting a spotlight. Just be warned, you can take a shower with the bathroom lights off, but it's like mood lighting (in intensity)... on the same note, if your shower is a little dark to start with, this might help compliment the bathroom lights.
Conclusion? If you have very strong water pressure, go for it.. what's the worst that can happen? :)

This item only includes the actual showerhead, if you want to use it as a hand held shower you will need to buy the mounting bracket (~$6) and a hose (~$10). So even though it seems cheap at $17 after you buy the necessary accessories it is about the same as name brand kits. The flow is good as is the pressure. The stream is somewhat narrow and not as spread out as many shower heads.
The plastic threads will likely leak a bit. I tightened it as much as I could and used teflon pipe tape but it still drips a bit.
Shower is LOUD! Nearly twice as loud as other showers, this is due to the turbine that powers the LEDS. Its not going to give you a headache or anything it just takes a little getting used to. Makes it difficult to talk to or hear someone outside of the shower.
The LEDs are very very cool. Bright enough to be visible with the lights on, but I recommend using it in total darkness! The LEDs have 6 stages
Green Cold/cool
Blinks Green to blue Warm
Blue Just Right
Blinks Blue to Red Hot
Red Very Hot
(((((E-D-I-T))))) This is made of pretty cheap plastic and will eventually start to leak. I used gobs of Teflon tape and it still leaks, but still works (kinda)
Flickering Red Scalding (not sure if it is supposed to do this or if my
shower just gets too hot for temp sensor to handle)
Overall this is a very neat product for the price. It is all plastic and very light which is nice when holding it but the durability worries me.
Great conversation starter, but some might look at you weird when you say "hey come check out my shower!"
