I used this light to illuminate a homemade 5x8x4 Teardrop camper. It is on the front edge of a shelf in the middle of the camper and is less than idea place to illuminate the camper. Even though it is not in the best place (center of the roof would be idea) it still more than adequately illuminates the camper and has a minimal draw on the 12 volt battery.

So far I'm very happy with this. Installed it above a stove in a fifth wheel. This pulled about .2 amps which is matches what was listed. As others have mentioned, the wires are very thin (it draws only .2 amps after all) and short (3-4 inches or so). The light is directional, but plenty wide of a beam for my purposes, and the pivot feature was handy.

It does not cast a soft light since the lens isn't frosted -it's more on the side of what you would get from a flashlight. For my use, this was no problem.

One note is that the color turned out to be cooler than I expected. While this was listed as a "warm white" LED (and the box label confirmed it) I think it looks more like a standard "white" LED color, with no noticeable yellow cast like an incandescent would have.

I bought two of these for my campervan. I bought one cool white and one warm. I wanted to compare the light output and ambiance. For my application, I prefer the warm white, so I exchanged the cool white. I am impressed with the light output,low power consumption and that I can direct the light (it swivels). The low profile is very appealing. However, the leads on the light are very short and thin. So be careful when you install them. When I returned the cool white, I received excellent customer service and an incredibly fast exchange. I am totally satisfied with this product. I just purchased another one to balance the lighting inside the cab of my van.

My installation was for a towable trailer. I used these to run solely off of 12vdc battery power and I wanted to be able to rotate them to the direction that I needed light. These could be a lot brighter for the money, but all in all, nice little light.
