These are replacements for the 300-watt standard PAR38 incandescent floodlamps, no longer available locally. The catch is that these higher-efficiency lamps are shorter than the old PAR38 lamps, so do not fit in the ceiling fixtures "as is."
The solution is locally-procured medium-base extenders which permit the assembly to penetrate far enough into the fixture to reach the socket.
Dimension measurements or a trial lamp installation may show a need for an extender for each fixture involved.The order got lost somewhere and it took a long time reaching me. The box was damaged a bit which concerned me about the lightbulbs, but they are usable.
