I bought these lights to use under the cabinets in my house.. The lights themselves produce a nice natural light but the major flaw in this system is that each light has to plug into that 3 way instead of in-line with the other lights. This may work well for a book case or something but the maximum span on this system is less than 4ft. Not only that but the lights are HUGE and they do not adjust well. I ended up using them under my sons loft bed to light his desk.

nice little light. It is provideing nice lighting under a bookshelf. The shelf is metal, so the magnets work well for this instilation.
