First of all, this product IS worth the money, at least to me. I love toys. However the type of performance that it shows is not what I expected. I was expecting a frequency sensitive "Color Organ" type of reaction. This is where the very low notes will show one color, and as the frequency goes up it will change color to another one. I built a color organ years ago and it had 10 distinct frequency bands from 25Hz to 5000Hz. If you played a song it would show a certain color pattern. If you played the same song again it would show the same colors at the same places in the song. This unit is not frequency sensitive. It is sensitive to the beat. I will say VERY sensitive to the beat. You can tap your finger on the desk rapidly and the lights will follow perfectly. However, the colors are 100% random. If that is what you are looking for then this is your item. Personally I am going to search for one that is responds to frequency. Note: The green connectors are quality connectors and are solid and easy to use. They unplug from the unit for ease of wire attachment. Built well and worth the money if what I described is what you need.

Aluminum IR music controller at great price

This awesome IR music controller has auto short-circuit protection function and can connect 6-8 pcs 150led strip

light at the same time. It is sensitive to music or sound. It is really cool when led lights dance with music beat.

There are a few different modes:

1) Brightness and speed control:

-When in static mode(default): to adjust the brightness

-When in flash/strobe mode: to adjust the light flashing or fade rate.

2) Separate On, and Off buttons.

3) 16 different set colors: Red, Green, Blue, White, and many variations of orange, yellow, light blue etc.

4) Flash: This flashes with all 16 different colors

5) Strobe: fade with 7colors automatically.

6) Music I: Press this key to activate the Flash sound-control mode and Single color sound-control mode:

-Press Flash key first and then press Music I key too, will activate the Flash sound-control mode: the all 16 colors will automatically flash when music/sound was picked up, all lamps off without music/sound.

-Press any single color, such as red or green, then press Music I key too, will activate single color sound-control mode: single color(such as red or green) light on when music/sound was picked up, all lights off without music/sound

7) Music II: Press this key to activate the Beat sound-control mode, all 7 colors will dynamic change following beat.

Works well. I am using this to control LEDs I have mounted inside my drum set. The controller does not do well with extremely loud sounds so you have to cover where the microphone is to get the desired sensativity.

It does what it says. The lights change easily with the remote, the only thing that I don't like Is the way reacts to the music. It is very sensitive and can go off to the sound of your voice. Other than that it's a great product, I would recommend it if you're just looking to light up your room or living room
