I'm glad I bought this one as it is bright and if I'm gonna spend the money anyways. I don't know if it's 300 Lumen? but probably close. It's fairly light and light brightness is adjustable and so is spot to flood. 3 AAA Bateries. It's not too tight for my head.

This light is Very bright and easily adjustable from the back case where the batteries are instead of having to flick through 10 modes on the light Itself. That brings me to another reason I like it, It has 2 modes only! On, and the flickering effect for signaling people. Thats what I want in a light, I like my light bright so that I can see and at work at night I can flag someone down with the flickering mode. I don't need no 10 modes to toggle through every time I turn a light on! Thats why this light is great, easy and bright! that's all I need. I also will say on the Brightness level it is rated at 300 lumens and I know its brighter then my last 230 lm headlight I had so I find it to be at least close to accurate description. I will probably buy another in the future for a 2nd backup.

This is an absolutely exceptional lamp for the price. We have purchased more headlamps than I can count over the last decade, plenty much more expensive than this one, from well know manufacturers. This light outpreforms them all hands down! There are no bells and whistles here, no blue or red lights (although the super bright white light can strobe, if desired) The straps are comfortable, even with the battery pack located at the back. The quality of materials is above average for the price and the performance is well above competitors lamps. This light is exactly what we have been looking for and I am happy to give it 5 stars and would highly recommend it to others.

Cree LED light + AAA's = great form and function! Not sure of the overall water resistance/proofness of the battery pack in the back, but we'll see how it goes in the future. Definitely wouldn't dunk it under water.
