As stated in previous review... this light does not fit umbrella pole, won't sit staight, sags... had to wrap tape around pole in position of light. Don't think you should have to do this, clamps should fit snugged against pole. Pole measures 1 1/2 inch diameter... that's average size. The light brightness is ok, but its not very impressive. Remote works well.

This is a good little light. Came WITHOUT directions, only a small problem. Does not fit umbrella pole snuggly, so always at a tilt. The remote is great for short people who cannot reach the top of the pole. You always need to take it down, if you are closing your umbrella, But overall, good.
