A few years ago, we remodeled our master suite. The only items we could not agree upon were bedside table lamps. We agreed that functionally the lamp needed to adjust and work as a reading or task light, but I wanted style & my husband wanted energy efficiency. We literally went over a year without lamps since nothing would please both of us. Then, one day I was reading Clodagh Your Home, Your Sanctuary and on page 85, I noticed the perfect lamps in the bedroom photo. I called the Clodagh NY studio and they identified these.
Both my husband and I are thrilled. The base is heavily weighted so you can yank, swing or adjust away and the lamp would never tip. (That said, it is easily moved with just a finger.) The head can be rotated any direction for spot or indirect lighting. The 10W LED makes my energy conscious husband happy and makes my day since the compact fluorescents that he wanted to use buzz and flicker and would never do. The light itself is bright but warm so it is very comfortable on your eyes.
We cut expenses on other parts of the remodel but agreed that splurging on lighting was the only way we could each meet individual requirements. This lamp is perfect and did not feel like a compromise. The only strange thing about the lamp is that the base is not perfectly round. It has a radius cutout where the cord lays.
I would HIGHLY recommend these lamps. They bring joy to the room!
