I put the cap on a pint canning jar and set it on the window sill in the kitchen, which is on the shaded side of the house. At night when I go to bed and turn the lights off I set it on the counter. It comes on when the lights are turned out and now I do not have to leave a light on in the kitchen. Wonderful. Going to order a couple more to put in other rooms in the house.

I'm helping plan a wedding this summer, and mason jars are a big part of the decorations. When I saw these lids I thought they might work for evening ambience. The lights in the lids are much brighter than I expected. I'll place a flower in each jar, and set them around the yard. I'm ordering more for the party and myself.
