* I am editing my initial review after weeks of use.
The flashlight still needs a user manual.
So here it is.
The big rubber push button turns on the top (away from the bulb!) turns it on.
That's pretty obvious.
Less obvious is that a light touch on the same big rubber push button toggles through the modes.
Once that's figured out, this is a very good deal. I just raised my Stars to 5.

PROS Solid, very bright, cheap
CONS I'm speculating here, but the "hand feel" is a bit off. Maybe like this comment on the Amazon page description, close, but not exactly right.
"The body of the flashlight is built of aluminum alloy, so it's indurative."
Indurative? Ok. I stopped and actually found the word in a dictionary. Means to harden. Still . . .
What puzzled me about this light was when it arrived today, I opened the plain white box (no instructions) inserted a battery, and pressed the rubber switch on the end away from the bulb. It was locked into strobe mode. My first thought was the rubber end switch would be multi-mode. But no matter how many times I pushed, it went off, then came back in strobe.
Could the switch be somewhere else? Like on the elegant and much more expensive Fenix I bought last August and can't find today?
Fenix PD32 Flashlight
Nope. Although the good news is that by twisting and turning all the parts of the SecurityIng I somehow jarred it into working.
The trick is in the rubber switch on the end. Each press seems to set a different mode.
I shall make a point of checking back in to report on this purchase after I have lived with it awhile. Unless it goes walkabout, like the missing Fenix :-(

I bought this light to keep in my desk in my room at school. It is super bright and I feel that the sturdy case will keep it working even in tough conditions. The only downside is that the batteries for this are very expensive and hard to fid, but if you want a smaller high quality flashlight with great battery life I think you'll have a ard time finding a better one.
