I bought this to go in my mailbox. The built in magnet lets it just clip to the rear wall. It sits an waits in the dark untill I open the door to get my mail, then lights up brightly. I bought a few extra to go in the dark cabinets of my boat where it does the same thing. Battery lasts about a year in these uses.

I have owned several of these and would not be with out them strategically placed around my house to provide that needed light in all the hard and dark places. BUT I find that one in 5 simply dont work or function properly. When they work they are great and give long life, ( I do find that the batteries last longest when set to the shortest time and only medium light-otherwise you will be replacing batteries all the time) I have had some 5 years now. When they dont work return them and have them replaced. I highly recommend them, but do heed my advice.

This light works great so far. Lights up the entry way at night so you can get your key in the door. It's protected from the weather where it's located. Couldn't use it exposed. Cheap and great solution.

The light works well, but you have to remove it from the wall to get to the on off switch.

I bought several of these after a friend informed me about these. They are easy to place in a dark area and any motion will light the LED lights. They make great night lights so you do not step on your pets in the dark.
