This is a cool light bulb with a remote. You can select the color, or have it cycle through the various colors. When white is selected, it shines the red, blue and green LEDS, giving the appearance of white. However, if I were to compare this to an incandescent bulb, I'm guessing it is about like a 25W at its brightest. The 9W consumption cannot be used to compare this with other LED lamps as the lumens vary greatly. (The vendor does not state how many lumens this unit emits. Again, it's about like a 25W lamp.)
The remote has to be aimed directly at the light, and works from about 0-6 feet away.
A good use for this would be mood lighting. A bad use would be for a reading or work light.
