As the other reviewer said, these do not produce very much light, but that's usually what I want-dimmer than the now-popular blue-LED power lights on electronics, which are annoyingly bright. Very flat-they don't stick out of the wall much at all.

Also, these are VERY low power, 0.03W.

The description and technical specs refer to 3 models: a neon, an LED, and an electroluminescent. This item is the electroluminescent model. It gives off a soft green glow. Some reviewers commented that it wasn't bright enough. I find it to be just the right amount. When I get up in the middle of the night, my eyes are adjusted to the darkness and this gives off more than enough light to walk around the hallway or go to the bathroom. In fact, anymore light would be too much. The description says that this item consumes 0.3W of electricity. That is incorrect, it is actually 10 times lower, at 0.03W. Yes, you read that right. This means that you can leave this plugged in 24 hours a day, 7 days week, for an entire *year*, and this will consume 0.263 kWh of electricity. At $0.15/kWh, that means it costs $0.04, or 4 pennies, per year. Each package comes with 2 of these. I bought 3 packages and placed them all over my home, for a total cost of $0.24/year. I don't know how I am going to pay for it. I wish I could give the Leviton Night Light more than 5 stars, it is absolutely perfect!

I have ordered several of these to plug into electrical outlets throughout my home at night. They give off a green glow that allows one to walk through the house at night and see well enough to avoid obstacles without turning on a light. They last absolutely forever, and use very little electricity. They are also safer than the more common night lights with a bulb that can cause a fire when overheated.

When you must get up several times each night, not having to turn the bright lights on in the bathroom helps me to a only partially awake. And there is enough light for a proper aim.
