I purchased one of these battery operated lights for my foyer entryway. I wanted to come home to a dimly lit area without the use of a night light. I was pleased with the product and the ease of hanging and operating. All it took was one nail. I loved this product so much that I purchased 4 more to use throughout the house. I can certainly see this product coming in hand during a power outage.

Sconce LOOKS nice but is cheaply made. Description is not correct. This uses 6 AA batteries, not D so it is dim. Really just a decoration. NO REMOTE CONTROL in the box, it does not come with one. To be honest, I wouldn't have paid more than $15 for it if I could have looked at it in a store. Hope this helps

I bought two of these for my living room and lvoed them so much I decided to buy two more to put in the stairway to the second floor. To my surprise, they have improved this item and it now takes AA batteries instead of the bulkier D battery.
